Reinstall SystemSafe

In the event SystemSafe stops working properly or you want to transfer your SystemSafe account to a new computer, please contact support@netmass.com or call 1.800.731.2737.


How to Reinstall SystemSafe Version 7 (older software version)

If you need to use the older version of the SystemSafe software, on this page is a link to download the SystemSafe version 7 software. Note that we encourage most users to upgrade to the newer 8.x version of the SystemSafe software. If you are using Vista, please use our SystemSafe version 8 software. Send an email to support@netmass.com if you have any questions about which version of the software you need.

Step 1 If you have SystemSafe currently installed on your computer, you first need to uninstall it before attempting a reinstallation. Please follow the SystemSafe uninstall instructions.

Step 2 Click on the link below to download the older version of the SystemSafe software (version 7):

Step 3 Please wait a moment for the installer window to open before you proceed.

Step 4 Install SystemSafe Online Backup

a) Select "Run this program form its current location" or you can "save it to disk" and install it from the saved location. Most users choose "Run this program..."
b) As part of the installation wizard, the installer will ask you to select a service plan. In this case, the service plan you choose is not important as a reinstall will connect you back to your original service plan.
 
Step 5 Once installation is done, the program will run and ask you to register your account. The first screen of the registration wizard has a check box asking if you want to reattach the software to a previously registered account.

a) Select this box and continue
b) Enter your account number
c) Enter your encryption key
d) SystemSafe has the ability to allow customers to set a password on their account. This password is not required and is separate from the encryption key you must choose during installation. Unless you perform specific steps to set a password, you will not be assigned a password. Therefore, most customers should leave this field blank.
